featured painting
TREES took its' inspiration from a full sheet watercolor I painted on location from a cabin porch in the Northern Adirondacks. That watercolor piece is still a study, maybe to be finished some day. Back in the studio, I began several paintings in acrylic, with the quiet sounds of the woods at the lake's edge, the late summer warmth, and welcome tree shade in my mind's eye. TREES ended up slightly cropped from the original, and the blue-greens, whites, and yellows forever convey (to me at least!) the serene beauty of that place in time.
